Fabric on Hand

This page was created to showcase the fabric I have (at this moment), to work with.

I work almost exclusively with remnants, and never have 'stock' prints. These remnants are always a yard or less in length, and approximately 58" wide. If I find a sale that is comparable to remnant price, I buy a couple of yards of nice fabric, but sales that good are rare.

This means, in most cases, I can only construct a couple of dog beds/crate mats, or KittyBeds, with the same pattern.

I use a patterned fabric for the top of each bed, and a coordinating solid for the bottom. In shooting the pictures on this page, I also show examples of what solid colors  I have that might go best with each print.

Usually the prints are more expensive than the solids, and in some cases where I use two coordinating prints, you will notice I charge $1.00 more for the finished piece. If I get the prints at the cheaper price, I pass that small savings along to my customers.

Some remnants may have holes or marks once I get them home and unwrap them, and these must be cut away. That means some patterns only have enough left for one or more Toy Size dog beds, or dog and cat toys. And that is usually the prettiest patterns, as you will see when you scroll down. Bummer.

I have tried to make a note on each picture stating how many beds I can make from the fabric, and what size. This is always subject to change.

Once I use a fabric in a bed or toy project, I will try to remember to remove it from this page.

**Again....my items are very limited...determined by the size of the remnant. Many are one-of-a-kind. **

There is, however, a way to get crate mats in 'sets'...and that is to send me shopping for you. Any price above remnant price would have to be added to the cost of the pieces, but good sales on fleece occur fairly often.

This rem was so small I almost passed on it...but when I got home and opened it [they roll them up and tape a big label to them] I was so glad I bought it. What a shame there is only enough to make two 100 Vari-Kennel mats. (or a KittyBed....but would YOUR cat want to sleep on this?)

Well...*I* LOVE to fish....so this appealed to me. Might appeal to a cat, too. Yes, this one is for a more specialized taste. Could get a couple of KittyBeds from this as well as the dog mats mentioned above. Have found a rich brown that might look good with it.

This is soooo pretty. My horsie friends will be fighting over it. If you like it, you may want to let me know quickly!

UPDATE!! Too late-already spoken for-may have a SMALL piece left when that order is filled. UPDATE #2-made a 200 size w/triple fiber fill-very thick!

(Made a mistake on labeling this one-actually have a full yard.)

Update! Managed to squeek out a 400 Vari Kennel size and one 200 size. Have enough left for a toy mat.

I cut this fabric since putting it on this page. I will be making one

19" x 28", suitable for a 300 Vari-Kennel or Med. Soft Side, (which will hold a 50 lb. dog). It has a medium blue backing).

Also, one 21.5" x 36", to fit a large wire crate, or other similar sized crates. (lighter blue back) Both will have extra thick fiber fill, so the smaller one will cost $18.00 & the large one will be $30.00. They will be moved to the appropriate page when finished...unless they are sold first.

300 Vari-Knl size still available.

UPDATE: This fabric has been cut for two 300 Vari-Knl mats. One is finished. Backing is dark pink.

UPDATE: Have made one 400 Vari-Knl mat with plaid background shown with green horse print. Enough left for a 200 or 300.

UPDATE: Made two, as above. Blue backing. One is sold, one is still available.

Update: Have a 400 & a 300 with yellow backing. Ready to go.
